The Possums Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard is located in Blewitt Springs, McLaren Vale.
Dense ruby in colour with purple tinges, the bouquet is complex and fragrant with mulberries, plums, mint, cassis and spicy cedar notes.
The palate is fleshy and full bodied, with luscious flavours of black-berries, cassis and plums. The fruit richness is well complimented with tobacco, dark chocolate and spicy oak. The wine lingers in the mouth and continues to evolve after decanting and breathing.
Although this wine has long term cellaring potential, it is well suited now to rich, hearty foods such as lamb shanks or fillet steak with béarnaise sauce.
