The Possums Vineyard Shiraz vineyard is located in Blewitt Springs, McLaren Vale.
Vibrant crimson red in colour, the bouquet displays fruit cake, plums, raspberries and cloves with layers of cinnamon and vanilla.
The palate is full but luscious, with layers of fruit and spice with mocha and vanilla bean. The fruit is supported by soft mouth coating tannins, resulting in a long and pleasant aftertaste.
The wine evolves substantially over the course of time as the fruit opens up and layers of berries and spice give way to leather and anise. It is recommended to decant this wine and serve with Veal Rib-eye Steaks with mushroom sauce, Hoisin Duck or with a variety of cheeses.
