2010 Dr John's Single Vineyard Pinot Gris

This is the first vintage of Pinot Gris from the Possums Blewitt Springs Vineyard after a grafting trial over original Chardonnay rootstocks in 2006. The soils in this vineyard are deep sandy soils overlaying rich loams with a clay base. The proximity to hills andocean breezes moderate summer temperatures to
achieve even,gradual ripening of grapes on the vines.

Flavours of Lime, Apple Blossom, Pears and Lychees this wine is suited to Asian style dishes, Poached Quail or Crayfish.

Only 900 six pack cases of this wine were produced in 2010.
Dr John Possingham is a legend in the Australian wine industry.

A research graduate of Adelaide and Oxford Universities, Dr John implemented the mechanisatioin of vine trellising, harvesting
and pruning in Australia in the 1960's. His research techniques are used in wine regions all over the world, forever changing the dynamics of the modern global wine industry.



After ten years of producing the successful export label "Possums Wines", the introduction of winemaker Pieter Breugem to the Possums Vineyard group has given rise to "Dr John's Wines".

These wines are limited in production and are only made from single vineyard sites within Possums Vineyards.
