Huon Hooke rates Dr John’s Willunga Shiraz

Independent Australian wine critic Huon Hooke posted an article on good reds under $20 in the Sydney Morning Herald ‘Executive Style’ online on July 24th, 2012.

The article entitled ‘Richer for poorer’ outlined some of the best red wines in Australia this year that are offering great value, particularly from the 2010 vintage.

Dr John’s Willunga Shiraz was given a 92 point rating with the following comments:

‘Rich, chocolatey and full in the mouth. Blood plum and vanilla aromas; lots of sweet fruit and guts. Cellar 10 years’
